Osteopath Bondi Junction
Pain that won't go away. Movement that doesn't feel right. We can help.
The Movement Philosophy is an integrated allied health clinic inside Elixr Health Clubs, Bondi Junction. Rick Hartley - osteopath and exercise rehabilitation specialist - works with people who are in pain, recovering from injury, or want to move and perform better for longer.
This isn't just treatment and out the door. It's finding out why you're in pain, fixing it, and making sure it stays fixed.
Osteopathic Treatment
Osteopathy is hands-on diagnosis and treatment of the musculoskeletal system - the muscles, joints, nerves and connective tissue that let you move.
Most people arrive with one of these:
Back pain - acute, chronic, or disc-related
Neck pain and headaches -including tension headaches and cervicogenic headache
Shoulder injuries - rotator cuff, impingement, frozen shoulder
Hip and knee pain - including runners knee, ITB syndrome, hip flexor issues
Sports injuries -sprains, strains, overuse injuries
Postural problems - from desk work, training load, or old injuries that never fully resolved
Sciatica and nerve pain
Treatment is manual — joint mobilisation, soft tissue work, neural techniques - combined with clear explanation of what's happening and why. No unnecessary jargon. No telling you your spine is a disaster. Just honest, evidence-based care.
Exercise Rehabilitation
Treatment gets you out of pain. Rehabilitation keeps you out of it.
Rick holds an MSc in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation and has spent 30 years working at the intersection of clinical practice and physical performance. The rehab component of your care is structured, progressive and specific to what you actually want to do - whether that's getting back to the gym, running again, playing with your kids, or just carrying groceries without wincing.
This is where being inside Elixr Health Clubs matters. Access to a full gym environment means your rehabilitation happens in the real world - not on a mat in a small room - from day one.
