Diagnostic ultrasound imaging combined with clinical insight for precise diagnosis and treatment guidance
-
Dr Lisa Hackett PhD
Clinical Ultrasound EducatorLisa brings something rare to the team: two decades of hands-on ultrasound expertise across sport, joints and tendons, paired with a career spent teaching other clinicians how to use imaging to make better, faster decisions about the body.
Her PhD research looked at how tendons actually heal, using advanced elastography to see what's happening beneath the surface. That same curiosity now shapes how she works with patients — using real-time imaging to confirm what's going on, guide treatment, and take the guesswork out of recovery.
Lisa is an Associate Conjoint Lecturer at UNSW and has trained clinicians internationally across musculoskeletal, sports medicine and rheumatology imaging. She's been recognised as both Sonographer of the Year and Researcher of the Year by the Australian Sonographers' Association, and has contributed to more than 45 peer-reviewed publications in the field.
At The Movement Philosophy, Lisa adds a diagnostic layer most clinics simply don't have on-site — turning "let's see how it feels" into "let's see what's actually happening.".
